Surgery

Dan had surgery last week. Since then, we’ve spent a lot of time together. I should rephrase that. We’ve spent a lot of time in the same room. He will typically be playing WOW, one ear bandaged and the other with an earbud in it so he can hear his guild members during a raid. Or, he’ll be sleeping at odd hours of the day. Or, he can’t hear me and gets frustrated having to ask me to repeat myself all of the time so I stay silent.

You know, typical marriage stuff.

He’s viewing this as 2 weeks of vacation where all he has to do is play video games. I haven’t asked him to help me move furniture or change the litter boxes or even cook. He has spent so much time in front of his computer that I’m pretty sure his mouse will be welded to his hand.

On the plus side, this has given me plenty of opportunity to do craft stuff, rearrange our bedroom furniture and get ready for the start of school this week. I even got to go to an office supply store unsupervised.

I live a boring life. More interesting stuff to blog about after my trip to Dallas this weekend, I promise.
