I had a few posts written that were supposed to automatically update while I was away. As you can probably guess, they failed to do so. Most of them I will be saving for future dates when I’m feeling lazy, but there is one that I will post as soon as I figure out why it keeps telling me “transmission error.” I will also be posting with highlights from my trip, including the first promise to me that Dan has ever broken, my cousin Alex’s special hidden talent and the best joke from the Jungle Cruise that I have ever heard.

But since I’m at work right now, I should probably focus more on catching up on paperwork rather than blogging. Check back later tonight for the Disneyland story/photos!

I took a week off from Facebook, Twitter, blogging and reading others’ blogs. It was incredibly difficult. Whenever I had a moment of free time, I had the urge to click on some of my favorite blogs to see what everyone was up to. I had to mentally slap myself on the wrist because I knew that once I got started, I would be spending hours browsing and commenting.

Even with all the extra free-time, I still managed to fail miserably at completing everything I wanted to. I spent a lot of time catching up with friends I haven’t talked to in ages. I also spent a lot of time with Dan. I have a husband who enjoys spending time with me when I’m not obsessed with blog surfing. Who knew?  I took some mental health breaks and enjoyed the cooler weather. Overall, it was a great week but not nearly as productive as I was hoping to be.

So I’ll spend today and tomorrow catching up on blogs and advance posting on my own. Then I can spend the remainder of the week finishing my projects. Saturday will be an all-day cropping event, so by Sunday I should be all caught up. Then it will only be a short countdown to The Awesome Concert and the craziness of the end of April. (More on that later.)

I’ve been in a funk lately that I can’t seem to shake. I’m disheartened by a lot in my life, from my BFF moving across the country very soon to constant problems in a project I’m working on. I feel like I’m living in chaos and my mind is having trouble keeping up.

To remedy this, i will be taking at least a week long break from most of the internet. Facebook will not be checked, Twitter will not be updated, this blog will lay silent, my blog reader will fill up with unread posts and SCS will be missing it’s normal healthy dose of SaraK. I’m still going to be checking my email, but only because of class obligations. Please rest assured that my loved ones and I are all fine but that I needed a personal mental break. I blame Spring Fever.

I plan on spending the week catching up on craft stuff that I’ve been dying to complete, playing with my BFF’s kids, watching movies that have been on my “must view” list for far too long, finishing my classwork a little early, doing some reading and enjoying what will probably be the last week of cooler temperatures.
