Tartraz recently adopted a kitten that is as cute as…well, nothing is as cute as a kitten. When I asked Dan if we could also adopt an orange and white kitty, I received what I affectionately refer to as “the stare where he contemplates taking me in for a psych evaluation.”

Me: But Tartraz got a kitten! I want a kitten too!
Dan: No
Me: Why can’t I get a kitten?
Dan: We have three cats.
Me: …and your point is?
Dan: You can get a kitten when we have less than 3 cats.
Me: Does it count that I still call them “Kitten” instead of calling them by their names? They’re not *really* cats if I call them kittens, right?
Dan: You are not helping your case.

Dan is thinking of starting a blog. I don’t want to give the topic out because it is hilarious and I don’t want someone else to steal the idea. However, dear Husband doesn’t seem to want to take the time to design the blog. Or sit down and write it. Or have anything to do with the blogging community besides reading them out loud to me sometimes.

For the record, I can read. But my drive home is boring and I need him to entertain me with funny blog posts. He says I’m high maintenance, but I think I am perfect maintenance. This just happens to be a bad example.

Back on subject-  I figured that since he checks this blog daily, I should write a little post of encouragement to let him know that I think he is brilliant and the blog is a great idea. I should also throw in that he is kind and handsome and smart and funny and has nice taste in jewelry.

Flattery gets you everywhere.

No worries, there are no spoilers in this post. Mostly because I haven’t seen the movie. In fact, I haven’t even read the book(s) yet. Am I the only person between the ages of 9-50 that has not read it? I can only access blogs that are not on blogger from work, and all of those seemed to be about Twilight. I couldn’t read them! I didn’t want to confuse myself!

I feel so uncool.
